School building is renovated and leased to MATCH Public Charter School (MATCH) to serve 200 middle school aged youth.

External capital campaign is launched to seek support from the Greater Boston community.

Bethel Institute for Social Justice is launched. The Institute’s mission is to provide educational and social services to high risk youth and families in Greater Boston in ways that measurably transform their lives and the communities in which they live.

Bethel renovates and opens the Sanctuary and adjoining Fellowship Hall. Used by 650 parishioners for worship services and ministries and by up to 2,000 members of the larger community for public meetings, concerts and conferences.

MATCH leases second building (which Bethel youth named the House of Hope) to expand access to excellent academic services.

Bethel moves its administrative offices to the renovated former rectory. Office space is leased to My Sister’s Keeper (MSK), which supported reconstruction and human rights advocacy for 1,200 women and children in Sudan.

Bethel sells its Parkside campus to reduce long-term operating expenses and debt service.

Bethel’s Youth Center opens after converting the former convent into a handicapped accessible, multi-purpose facility. Houses our youth programming and provides space for classes and tutoring during school hours.
